Sideboard Gabin - Hartô
Sideboard Gabin - Hartô
by Hartô design
Artist: Mathieu Galard
Designed by Hartô’s creative director, Mathieu Galard, the Gabin collection stood out quickly as one of the brand’s key furniture lines. It managed to set itself apart from others thanks to its modern curvy lines and the patterns inspired by caning on its sliding doors, as well as by the association of wood and metal. After the launch of contemporary-shaped sideboards and a sixties inspired display case, Hartô introduces an object at the crossroads between these two eras.

Mathieu Galard
In 2015, Mathieu Galard agreed to take up the challenge of Hartô, a very young brand whose territory remained to be invented as Artistic Director and Associate. In 2018, following his federative desire, he answered the call of L' Ameublement Français to become with Louise Breguet co-president of the emerging "group of publishers".
After studies and a career of 5 years as an Automotive Designer, Mathieu Galard turned to furniture and entrepreneurship in 2010 following VIA project in 2008, of which he was one of the winners with his project of a concrete table made with the members of his collective Blackmamouth Studio. Based on this experience and following meetings that marked his career, he found himself at the artistic direction of the magazine Nouveaux Objets which would quickly become ENOstudio. Participating with ENOstudio in numerous fairs, he became keen to meet and unite with the other players in the revival of the French edition of furniture.
