Minikane

The story of Minikane is really fascinating. Karin Maillard left the corporate world for entrepreneurial creativity after a personal tragedy.

She embarked in a retail experience with focus on children until the idea to create the perfect toy stroller herself, beautiful, contemporary and trendy. A strong product that had the ambition to become a real fashion item for mothers and their children. The Minikane concept was launched!

Along came the dolls! Karin discovered the Gordis dolls from the Spanish brand Paola Reina by chance in a store window and decided to create the perfect dressing room for these dolls, on a par with that of children. And so an important collaboration started.

From project to project, through inspirations and improvisations, the brand's success becomes exponential and is now a worldwide success.

The design, the manufacturing and the production are carried out in France and, more precisely in its Parisian workshop. A choice, local therefore, more respectful of the environment, limiting transport and, valuing the workers on the production line. All the fabrics, made in Portugal, are Oeko Tex certified and are ordered in reasonable quantities. The induction of the fabrics is carried out in France, in the last factory of its kind. From the material to the manufacturing, each step is studied to limit the environmental impact and gain in quality. The cutting of the fabrics is also optimized for almost complete use. The remaining fabric scraps are valued via upcycling by offering new "small" products (underwear, etc.).

Fashion in focus and fashion bias to break! Minikane’s idea is to end the eternal pink for girls, blue for boys and to get rid of the stereotypes for dolls and toys. Within its workshop, constant research in styling & modeling allows the collections to constantly evolve and offer an ever-expanding catalog.

Minkane dolls are manufactured by Paola Reina in Spain, in the historic valley of Alicante, and are guaranteed in PVC without phthalates. Their manufacture is governed by strict legislation and very meticulous specifications, in compliance with CE standards and safety constraints related to toys, and is manufactured thanks to the work of qualified and passionate workers, an artisanal manufacturing process and advanced techniques.

In short, a children's and doll's wardrobe made in France and Dolls made in Spain that will delight young and old, fashion enthusiasts and at the cutting edge of the latest trends. A method that works and allows to reconcile Slow and Fast Fashion in a virtuous and more sustainable circle.
