My dear customers and visitors of Inspiration Tales,

writing this post for you, I am really happy, like a small kid who just received a new toy! My happiness comes from this new brand that I have in my shop and so I am so proud to present to you.

I first met Les Jolies planches and the unique and wonderful idea from Isabelle Diacono some months ago in Paris. I was really impressed with her idea, because it was an answer to a question that I always have when designing and styling a room, how to decorate the walls and not only decorate it but bring on it a character, a personality! This comes as an add on to the worry I have as a mom; will my kids get educated by electronic means only? The era that we would leaf through an encyclopedia, smell the paper and ink, is it long gone? Les Jolies planches brings a touch from the past to today, with their educational posters, which can teach not only the kids, but also the adults. So, what is Les Jolies planches? First answer would be that it is art, second education and third decoration. These three words included in a poster from cotton canvases, painted with designs and colors from environmentally friendly inks. The canvas prints are designed and made in France from talented illustrators providing unique French expertise.

Treasures from France’s National Library

And the story has just began! A unique partnership between Isabelle and France’s National Library comes after, which will try to be pass on to new generations the remarkable heritage of France, combining tradition and modernity. The treasures from the France’s National Library takes a second life on Isabelle’s canvases and permeates through the interior decoration into the homes of today’s families. Those who love beauty and knowledge to be shared, will discover rare illustrations, veritable treasures from France’s National Library, revisited by Les Jolies Planches. Les Jolies Planches and France’s National Library share the same philosophy and the same desire to pass on knowledge to new generations. This search for wonder, beauty and its preservation play out in their work. Two eras, two areas of expertise and two styles go together perfectly to give the rare and the sublime a new lease of life and turn these canvas prints into veritable works of art.

Love,

Maria
